First Training Centers for DERMAROLLER® THERAPY opened in Nevada and Florida.
Phillip Terrazas, General Manager of CYNERGY invited us to RENO to give lectures for the Dermaroller Therapy and to train physicians hands-on. The initial workshop was held in the spacious clinic of Dr Corazon Ibarra, an international renowned specialist for acupuncture and homeopathy. She was supported by her colleagues from Florida Jiji Cook and Gina Blinton from SEASIDE ACUPUNCTURE in Florida.
Motto of the workshop was: Intensive training is the secret of all skills.
The first step was a slide-show lecture of about one hour that explained the physiological mechanisms of action how and why the soft alternative DERMAROLLER® THERAPY is so successful in treating sun damaged or aged skin, atrophic scars, acne scars, pigmentation problems, stretch marks and other skin problems.
Acupuncture for skin numbing
One of the training topics was the demonstration that fine micro-needles are very powerful and yet very soft alternative therapeutic tools. Initially precisely set acupuncture needles anaesthetised the skin within minutes. After they were removed the needles of the medical Dermaroller effortlessly treated the skin to stimulate new collagen formations and improved blood supply in the dermis without causing pain.

We also had some curious visitors that came to the clinic to see what the Dermaroller Therapy was like. When they saw the easy and painless treatment they put their scepticism aside and spontaneously asked for a treatment of their sun-damaged skin. Also the cameraman and his assistance that really had a very close look to the procedure for several hours, lied down and were Dermarolled.

John, the Cynergy representative in San Diego, CA, showed much talent in handling the Dermaroller and was trained as a Product Specialist.
Intensive training is the key to success
We spent 3 beautiful days in Reno and than we proceeded to the magnificent City of San Francisco for another 3 days. All workshop participants agreed that it was a superb start for the Dermaroller in USA. Now the ball is in the basket of our partners from Nevada and Florida to spread the news and to train other physicians on the West and East Coast of the United States. For 2009 it is our common goal to set up at least 30 Dermaroller Centers along each coast.

It was kind of a stressful journey, but for all the wonderful people we met as well as for ourselves it was worthwhile to come and teach and we left the US with a feeling that we have inspired confidence and competence.
